Armoracia rusticana - Horseradish

Horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) is a perennial plant grown for its root that has a hot and spicy flavour. It loves a rich moist soil, is a quick grower, will die back in winter and resprout in spring, they are virtually indestructible! The leaves are edible too, the fresh root is far more potent than the store bought horseradish.
