Quercus acutissima - Sawtooth Oak
Quercus acutissima - Sawtooth Oak
Sawtooth Oak (Quercus acutissima) is a medium sized deciduous tree growing to 25–30 metres and native to east Asia unlike its relative the English Oak with their lobed leaves, the sawtooth oak produces long, slender leaves with serrated edges and pointed tips. This fast-growing shade tree has a pyramidal growth habit when young, which develops into a rounded, spreading habit as it ages.
