Gambel Oak (Quercus gambelii) is deciduous oak from the foothills and lower elevation mountains of western North America. This species is quite varied in appearance from a shrub to at small tree to 20 meters. Its leaves are typically deeply lobed which turn orange in autumn. It is quite a drought tolerant oak.
