Hibiscus syriacus is a deciduous shrub with an open and vase shape, featuring arching branches.
Its leaves range from slightly rhomboid to variably lobed, turning a dull yellow in autumn.
This shrub produces lovely large (10cms) trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of pink and purple from late spring to autumn.
