Juglans nigra - Black Walnut

The Black Walnut (Juglans nigra) is a large deciduous tree from North America valued for its much sort after dark coloured timber. Like it European cousin it has an edible nut, but the nut is much harder and difficult to crack. This tree is suitable to most soils and is moderately drought tolerant once established.

Highly prized for it's dark wood and delicious nuts.
